Inspired by a reinterpretation of the Marcel Duchamp’s objet trouvé and by artists who work with industrial waste—such as Mark di Suvero, Robert Rauschenberg, John Chamberlain, Anthony Caro and Bill Woodrow—Mesalles treats waste as a found object and commits to revitalizing it by adhering a new poetic meaning to it.
